Medical Duty Readiness
Use MDR for a Periodic Health Assessment, dental, immunization, or other readiness appointment that keeps you deployable. One paid 4-hour period per appointment, limited to 2 MDR periods per anniversary (RYE) year. Signed by SOCOM ARE, not your unit.

- Optional / elective medical care
- Care unrelated to readiness
- More than 2 MDR periods in your RYE year
- Same calendar day as paid IDT §2-4c
Rules at a glance
- Maximum 2 MDR periods per RYE anniversary year
- Each MDR is one 4-hour period (paid, P-1)
- Cannot overlap another paid IDT day §2-4c
- Block 11 signed by SOCOM ARE (not your unit O/WO)
How it appears on DA Form 1380
